The Maulana or Maulana Bicolor-500 peacock is a beautifully colored fish for the African cichlid aquarium, with a radiant yellow shoulder against a sparkling blue body.
They are a part of the peacock cichlid family, the Aulonocara, which consists of countless colorful, medium-large fish from Lake Malawi in Africa. This cichlid family does better in a group or community setting with fishes of similar species and sizes, since they tend to be aggressive.
